Description
Phytotherapeutic product containing silymarin and MOS (mannan-oligosaccharides). Silymarin is obtained from the plant Silybum marianum (milk thistle) and acts by various mechanisms:
- stimulates the production of SOD, an enzyme that protects cell liposomal membrane lipids
- prevents disorders that normally occur in the case of liver degeneration caused by oxidative stress
- increases the removal / distribution of reduced and total glutathione, thereby improving the detoxification capacity of the liver
- increases ribosomal RNA synthesis and in this way increases and improves liver regeneration
- normalizes lipidemia
- inhibits COX-2, an enzyme that transforms arachidonic acid into prostaglandin (PGE 2) and reduces inflammation
MOS produced by the breakdown of Saccharomyces cerevisiae cell walls play an important role in Epato's composition. This also yields beta-glucans, which improve the production of T- and B-lymphocytes and macrophages and stimulate the immune system. These are hardy starches that can easily enter the large intestine in an intact form, where they are easily fermented by "good" bacteria such as Bifidobacterium. Other microorganisms, such as eubacteria or clostridia, are unable to utilize oligosaccharides. This preferential fermentation formula therefore offers many advantages in supporting beneficial intestinal bacteria!
For these reasons, Epato is:
- excellent in primary and secondary liver disease
- helps the liver during long-term antibiotic and antifungal therapy
- helps the liver during therapy against leishmaniasis and erlichiosis
- the increasing cellular response increases appetite
- helps manage antiepileptic drugs because it prevents autointoxication
- reduces hepatitis
- contains MOS (mannan oligosaccharides), which help the liver in its cleansing function
- normalizes lipidemia, cholesterol and triglycerides
- increases the detoxification capacity of the liver
It has no side effects
