Composition
Lactose, calcium carbonate, molluscs and crustaceans.
Dosage dog, cat 1 g (= 1 scoop) per 5 kg b.w. Twice a day to feed
Sufficient water must be served throughout the feeding.
Feed the veterinarian for feeding and administration time.

Store in a dry place and at a temperature up to 25 ° C.
The use of a phosphate scavenger in the gut reduces phosphatemia. Calcium carbonate is one of these substances that is also used in human medicine as part of the treatment of chronic renal failure (CRI) in humans to reduce phosphatemia.
The use of calcium carbonate is safe. This compound does not contain aluminum, which accumulates in various tissues and organs, including bone and brain, and can thus cause encephalopathy, anemia or various bone diseases.
The most common symptoms of CRI are:
- Cat: anorexia, fatigue, dehydration, weight loss, polyuria and polydipsia, vomiting.
- Dog: polyuria and polydipsia, vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss.
Chitosan is produced by diacetylation of crab-derived chitin. Chitosan reduces the phosphorus and urea levels in the blood, as fully shown in studies in rats, mice and humans (it adsorbs uremic toxins that are responsible for the clinical symptoms of uremia). IPAKITINE is also well tolerated by animals with CRI, which simplifies treatment in cats with anorexia.
How can the life of a cat and a dog be extended? Along with the improvement of the animal's health, the main therapeutic goal is to slow the deepening of the CRI.
Phosphatemia reduction is now the primary goal of CRI treatment and is the only way to prolong the life of patients at all stages of the disease.
Protein restriction: Recent studies have shown that protein restriction has no effect on prolonging patients' lives; however, it is recommended because lower amino acid catabolism affects azotemia.
Reduction of glomerular hypertension (effective in advanced stages of CRI):
Vasodilators can reduce intraglomerular pressure by specific dilatation of efferent glomerular vessels, thus reducing the possibility of glomerular sclerosis. ACE inhibitors are very effective in the advanced stages of CRI.
Dogs on a low phosphorus diet show improved glomerular filtration and also have a higher chance of prolonging life.
Cats with CRI have a 2.5-fold greater chance of prolonging life if fed a phosphorus-reduced diet, especially in combination with a phosphorus-binding compound.
